Product Recalls

Sometimes a manufacturing or producing company will inadvertently put a defective or unsafe product onto the market. The company upon realizing the mistake will issue a recall of the product.

Unfortunately people do not always receive timely awareness of product recalls. The New York State Consumer Protection Board (CPB) has created a program called the Recall Awareness Promotion Program (RAPP) in order to increase consumer awareness of product recalls in order to ensure consumer safety. RAPP has enlisted the help of establishments in the business and service industries so recall information can be distributed through their interactions with customers.

RAPP participants are taking every possible measure to be aware of consumer safety standards, advocate prompt removal of recalled products, provide timely and relevant recall information to the public and promote continuing development of RAPP programs and events in order to keep the public informed about recalled products. The government of New York State and the CPB has received significant accolades and endorsement for their commitment to the ideals of RAPP.

The New York State Hospitality and Tourism Association and NYS Restaurant Association President and CEO have both praised and celebrated their practice of RAPP because providing better consumer awareness means providing better consumer service. The program is ideal for those industries because of its inherent consonance with their dedication to serving the public.

The Children%u2019s Garden was incorporated in 1988 by a local family in pursuit of quality childcare. Disappointed by the poor selection of nurturing environments for their young daughter, the couple found most programs to be lacking the individual, loving touch personalized childcare should emanate. Montessori classrooms are mixed age groups, this grouping creates a highly productive learning environment. Each child works on material that is geared toward there ability and interest. When children of different age levels are able to work on individual materials along side one another, this produces a non-competitive atmosphere. In fact, most children excel beyond the %u201Caverage age expectations.%u201D

South Boise Child Care Center was established in 1969, by my mother Betty Flint. I worked along side my mother, caring for children until her passing in 1996, when I took over the childcare center. I have been fortunate to be able to hire mostly family members who share my love for children, and therefore have one of the lowest turnover rates in Boise. I feel this is very important for the kids to have that consistency at their daycare.
