Child Product Recalls
Sometimes a manufacturing or producing company will inadvertently put a defective or unsafe product onto the market. The company upon realizing the mistake will issue a recall of the product.
Unfortunately people do not always receive timely awareness of product recalls. Safe from the Start (SFTS) %u2014 launched in January 2005 is a program designed to inform parents about child product recalls so they have all the necessary information to keep their children safe.
SFTS is designed to disseminate recall information to not just their pediatricians but to all significant child caretakers e.g. community centers, government agencies and women's clinics so that information is more accessible to all caregivers. SFTS offers a variety of media to provide the public with this critical safety information. SFTS offers a video detailing the major and minor steps parents can take to ensure that their children remain safe when visiting any medical center. They also offer a downloadable Stroller Safety brochure because traveling safe if of utmost importance for parents. The brochure is available in both English and Spanish. People can inventory the products in their home or daycare facility for product safety by visiting their product safety checklist.
SFTS is dedicated to ensuring that parents know everything that they need to know in order to keep their children protected and safe. Parents have access to information about child product recalls as well as the ability to make sure that everything they already purchased is safe for their children.

Montessori classrooms are mixed age groups, this grouping creates a highly productive learning environment. Each child works on material that is geared toward there ability and interest. When children of different age levels are able to work on individual materials along side one another, this produces a non-competitive atmosphere.
