At Good Morning Sunshine Daycare every day will be a new day. Each day your child will participate in fun and engaging activities to help him/her grow and develop physically, emotionally, intellectually and socially . We engage in all sorts of learning activities including arts/crafts, coloring, expressive art, role play/dress up, puzzles, sing-a-longs, reading, circle time, outdoor play, and lots and lots of interactive play.

We provide everything your child will need throughout the day, including diapers, formula and all meals and snacks. To provide the cleanest and healthiest environment possible each child has his/her own designated sippy cups, bottles, plates, and eating utensils. We have a special room designated just for sleeping, where each child has his/her very own bed that is never used by any other child.

Over the past six years I have worked as a nanny, an art teacher, a home day care provider, and I am now the proud parent of a 1-year-old. I have recently opened my own home day care, providing care for children ages 4 weeks to 5 years.

Working with children of all ages is my passion and I have found that each age offers something both different and wonderful. I love caring for babies because every day brings something new. Toddlers are exceptional to watch as they grow and discover and it is absolutely amazing to observe older children as they communicate and interact with others.

During my time as a child care provider, I have acquired and developed many child care skills. I believe that structure and discipline play a lucrative role in a child's development. I have also come to see that the interaction between a child and his or her caregiver makes a big difference in whether or not a child is happy and well adjusted. I believe that it is the child care provider's job to adapt and adjust her child care strategies to each child and family. It is important for a caregiver to maintain stability with the children. I like to keep with the same basic schedule that the parents adhere to at home. As your child's day care provider, I will be present to provide security, not interruption. I will strive to participate in stimulating and engaging activities, as often as possible, and will encourage your child to grow and learn in any way they can. It has been my experience that when a care provider is able to connect with a child through play, communication between the two comes much easier.
